An innovative new blend made for the mixologist, matured in first-fill American Oak casks, followed by maturation in casks previously used for maturing rye whiskey. This crossover style is aimed to work in place of American whisky and is said to make a brilliant Old Fashioned or Manhattan.

Johnnie Walker Old Harmony was released for the Japanese market at the end of the 1970’s. Production was seized just a couple of years later, and that’s more or less all we’re able to tell about this illusive Scotch. This is the first release of Old Harmony, replaced by a redesigned label some time later.

A complex, rich whisky with layers of flavour in which an array of fruit aromas come together in harmony, balanced with warming spices and a soft, rolling smoke redolent of the rich array of exotic goods on offer. Dried fruit such as sultanas and figs are sweetened by hints of candied ginger, before berries, brown sugar and aromatic spices fill up the senses.
