A limited release of Johnnie Walker's most premium brand. The Ghost and Rare blends will focus on Scotland's lost and sorely missed distilleries, with this first release built around malt from the legendary Brora. Other "Ghosts" rearing their welcome heads from the annals of whisky history is malt from lost Speyside distillery Pittyvaich, and Cambus grain, which closed in 2002 and 1993 respectively. Given that Brora shut it's doors in 1983, were talking about whisky that was distilled at least 34 years ago! Speaking of the Ghost and Rare series, master blender Jim Beveridge had the following to say: “Whiskies from these ghost distilleries are becoming increasingly rare. Two variants of Johnnie Walker ‘Gold Label‘ now co-exist under the ‘Reserve’ and ‘Centenary Blend’ labels, with the latter now discontinued, and a rarity on the market. Like other products in the Johnnie Walker range, a degree of confusion surrounds their exact contents.
We can tell you that the Centenary blend is a limited release to commemorate the first 100 years of Johnnie Walker. It’s a blend of fifteen different whiskies including Clynelish and Cardhu, aged for a minimum of 18 years.
John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2016 Edition
The most complex edition to date, 2016 is third bottling in the John Walker & Sons Private Collection series, continuing the themes of the incredibly limited Directors' Collection and offering these small batch editions of Johnnie Walker to a wider audience. This edition, titled 'Fine Honeyed Notes', focuses on the sweeter flavours within the Johnnie Walker range, with some of the 100 casks coming from four closed grain distilleries – Caledonian, Cambus, Carsebridge and Port Dundas.

It may be hard to imagine today, but for much of the 20th century, Macallan was primarily a constituent malt in blends. It was not until the 1980s downturn in the market that the distillery decided to focus on its single malt brand. Fortuitously, this coincided with the crest of a wave of enthusiasm for the high quality releases that the distillery had licensed to Campbell, Hope & King and Gordon & MacPhail in the 1960s and 1970s. These remain some of the most collectible on the market. While global single malt sales volume is still lead by Speyside neighbours, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet, Macallan is easily the most sought after. So much so in fact, that they had to open a brand new distillery in 2018, a subterranean architectural masterpiece within the Easter Elchies estate, boasting 36 copper pot stills.
This is the fourth release of the Classic Cut series, first introduced in 2017. The expression takes its name from the third of Macallan's six pillars, known as the "finest cut," in reference to their selection of only the most superior quality spirit from their stills.
Macallan Edition N2 70CL
Edition No.2 is a collaboration between master blender Bob Delgarno and legendary Spanish chefs Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca. A combination of sherry puncheons, butts and refill hogsheads, this is a deliciously floral and fruity whisky with notes of tropical fruit, black pepper, liquorice and brandy snaps.

The Macallan Boutique Collection 2020 release was distilled at the Macallan distillery in the heart of Speyside, this 2020 release is the second in the Boutique Collection series. Released exclusively for sale in the Macallan distillery shop and the airport boutique shops. This expression has been matured in 100% sherry seasoned oak casks before being bottled with natural colouring to the liquid.
