There's a brand-new Johnnie Walker Red Label Bottle that's been introduced to coincide with the new season of Netflix's Money Heist (also known as La Casa de Papel) and it has a design that includes hidden messages. To mark the finale of the show, which happens in December, the brand created a special Scotch whisky bottle design that puts a twist on the classic Striding Man branding.When viewed in UV light, the bottle shares some of the last words of the show's main characters. The second release in Macallan's limited-edition Concept series, this Highland single malt brings together music and whisky - two of the passions of Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner. Matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned American oak casks, ex-bourbon casks and Miguel Martin sherry casks, creating a complex character with aromas of toffee apples, vanilla, oak spice, blackberry and pistachio on the nose. The palate offers notes of dried apple, almond, cinnamon, toasted oak and sweet toffee.

Two variants of Johnnie Walker ‘Gold Label‘ now co-exist under the ‘Reserve’ and ‘Centenary Blend’ labels, with the latter now discontinued, and a rarity on the market. Like other products in the Johnnie Walker range, a degree of confusion surrounds their exact contents.
We can tell you that the Centenary blend is a limited release to commemorate the first 100 years of Johnnie Walker. It’s a blend of fifteen different whiskies including Clynelish and Cardhu, aged for a minimum of 18 years.
JOHN WALKER & SONS PRIVATE COLLECTION 2017 EDITION 70CL
Here's the 2017 edition from the John Walker & Sons Private Collection, titled Mastery of Oak. For this release, the team at Johnnie Walker have using a combination of three vattings - the first is a blend of malt and grain whiskies aged mostly in first-fill American oak, the second is a blend of Highland and Speyside single malts from refill casks, and the third is a blend of whiskies from a range of experimental casks (which features different char profiles, housed different drinks beforehand and some had even been "salt cured"!).
