Here's the 2017 edition from the John Walker & Sons Private Collection, titled Mastery of Oak. For this release, the team at Johnnie Walker have using a combination of three vattings - the first is a blend of malt and grain whiskies aged mostly in first-fill American oak, the second is a blend of Highland and Speyside single malts from refill casks, and the third is a blend of whiskies from a range of experimental casks (which features different char profiles, housed different drinks beforehand and some had even been "salt cured"!).

Six cities are represented by individual bottles in the range, and only 2,500 bottles per city will be available to purchase between July to September this year. The cities comprise: Mexico City, New Delhi, Warsaw, Bangkok, Istanbul and Madrid.The Keep Walking City collection was made in partnership with Air-Ink, a brand that creates ink by condensing carbon-based gaseous effluents generated by air pollution.

There's a brand-new Johnnie Walker Red Label Bottle that's been introduced to coincide with the new season of Netflix's Money Heist (also known as La Casa de Papel) and it has a design that includes hidden messages. To mark the finale of the show, which happens in December, the brand created a special Scotch whisky bottle design that puts a twist on the classic Striding Man branding.When viewed in UV light, the bottle shares some of the last words of the show's main characters.
